Australia 2015: Hobart, Tasmania - Battery Point in the night.

Left off at Mount Wellington previously from the previous travelogue post and we actually headed to Cargo bar pizza lounge for dinner which is located at Battery Point, a suburb area which has a few eatery points and the Salamanca market is also held there on Saturday mornings (:

The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful and it was buzzing with life despite the fact that it was a Monday night. Soft lights coupled with a glass of wine and awesome food while watching the world go by - ah, life. We had a pizza and some tacos - we picked the Salmon Mascarpone Pizza and the Pulled pork Tacos, which were both done really well and really delicious for a chilly night out.

Not too sure if these lights were up because of the upcoming festive Christmas season back then, but it looked really whimsical and gorgeous against the night skies and trees (':

Australia 2015: Hobart, Tasmania - Mount Wellington.

Whoop, it's Friday and I'm just gonna be chilling at home tonight with my laptop and just laze around! And, I finally have some time to continue blogging about my Aussie trip (:

Of course, if you're heading to Hobart, you'll definitely be (must visit!) visiting Mount Wellington.

The view driving up was already crazy amazing. It kinda looked like it was gonna rain on the way up but thank God it didn't. The skies kinda cleared up when we were nearing the top, and I think we started the drive up sometime mid-afternoon (about 3-ish, 4?).

It was super duper cold and windy when we reached the top and I think we were just really under dressed for the weather. Headed straight for the observatory for some warmth!

This view - mad gorgeous!

We had to keep shuffling between the observatory and heading out cause it was so so so windy and chilly! I'd really recommend having a good coat and some gloves if you're really afraid of the cold, cause there were really some people wearing beanies and boots and everything up there hahaha.

Also insisted to take more photos for Tzu cause the place is just so beautiful and you're literally (almost) in the clouds.

The weather started to change after we took some photos and it became kinda cloudy and dark but thank goodness it didn't rain even while we were leaving.

And, here's Tzu fighting against the wind while he was climbing up these rocks. I couldn't even make it to where he was standing because I could really feel my feet leaving the ground and it was freaking scary hahaha.

Gek-sai face exhibit 1 hahaha

We couldn't resist how beautiful the trees looked on the way down as well so we stopped by for more photos.

Oh, Mount Wellington, you're amazing. And I'll be back for you, Tasmania.

Australia 2015: Hobart, Tasmania - Jackman & McRoss.

Happy 2016 everyone! (:

School's gonna be starting tmr and I'm gonna be getting back to the daily grind soon D:

Anw, I'm gonna continue sharing about my Aussie trip! We tried Jackman and McRoss for lunch on our second day in Hobart, Tasmania, before heading up to Mount Wellington.

Here's us! It was kinda funny finding parking around in Aussie - you have to be VERY sure that you've parked in the right zone or else you'll probably be getting a fine hahaha. So be sure to read the signs properly, whether its 1/2 P or 2P etc., as well as the arrow directions pointing to the zone which you can park in!

So I'll basically be constantly asking Tzu: "Are you sure here can park? READ THE SIGN, READ IT!!!"
Tzu: "YEAH LA CONFIRM CAN, just park!"

Mmm, this display.

We ordered the Beef pie and Scallop pie, as well as a tomato soup to share. The tomato soup was pretty damn good (must-try if you see it on their menu!) - it had like barley in it, and was perfect for the chilly weather. It was my first time having scallop pie as well - piping hot scallops were embedded in the crisp crust, super good.

We basically idled away about a good 2 hours over here. It was pretty quiet by the time we were eating cause we reached at about 1-ish and the brunch crowd had pretty much cleared (: I read online that it's pretty popular with the locals here, so we are glad we got in a time that was not so crowded.

Australia 2015: Tasmania - Airport attire.

These photos were taken right after we checked into our Airbnb over at Lenah Valley, Hobart with rows of houses lined up along the area and a lovely view of mountain tops in the background.

For flights, I usually pick an outfit that's comfortable - especially if it's gonna be a really long plane ride! Jeans, culottes or 3/4 pants would usually be my first choice, coupled with a loose fitting top which allows me to take a nap on the plane in comfort. If you prefer something more girly, I think a casual dress would be cosy as well! I usually do without make up on a flight as well - just some lip balm to prevent cracked lips (:

Outfit details:
Top: AforArcade's Homies Baseball Top
Jeans: (worn-to-death) Ellysage
Sneakers: Superga
Bag: Lacoste
