Summer midis.

The embroidery trend in clothing this year is all the rage recently and I've bought quite a number of embroidery pieces as well oops heh.

Mixed feelings about the summer break coming to an end as I'm preparing to dive back into work once more, but excited to see some of the best colleagues ever from their vacation break (':

Completed the look with a straw clutch I got for a steal in Yogyakarta, Indonesia a couple of years back and a floppy hat! Gotta love shopping overseas when you find awesome buys (: Sandals are from Zalora, and the dress's from Soeurs.co!

The wrap midi has floral embroidery at the front and at the borders of the collars. Sleeves are elasticised and tends to create a slightly puffed-up look when you bend your arms - I love how vintage it looks actually.

Summer ready.

Hey there, Summer break!

Thank God for vacations, really needed the time to just unwind. Dressed up a little for the weekend for movie night with Tzu - we finally caught Wonder Woman and omg Gal Gadot is just amazing. She actually filmed part of the movie when she was pregnant and also, how the heck does she still look so good after having 2 kids is beyond me! #goals

When I think about summer, I think of maxi skirts, cami tops, stripes, denims, sandals, straw hats and bags - can't wait to style more items in my wardrobe differently!

Paired my nutmeg flutter sleeve top with a old fave in my wardrobe, a weighted white maxi skirt with open flaps in the front together with some cross-strap sandals in black and a black sling bag for an evening around town. A white maxi skirt is a must-have in the wardrobe, it goes with anything and everything!

My shoes and bag are from Zalora which I think is great for getting affordable items especially if they are on sale - but I think I bought a pair of sandals once and it kinda like snapped after about 3-4 wears ): but the rest of the items I've got from them so far have been ok though! My bag's still good (:

Top's from Fashmob and skirt's from Runwaybandits - some of the online brands I love and frequent! Also, loving the rings I got from F21 - a pineapple and watermelon ring (if you can spot from the photos!)

Ain't no fancy pants.

We're entering into April soon! 2017, you're passing by too quickly.

A quick post on this pair of pants which is a huge fave in my wardrobe + Tzu took v nice shots that day just using his iPhone so... here's a new style post!

I'm guilty of owning many colours of an item I like, and the Stans... well, I'm not proud of how many colours I own of it to be honest oops (6/7? I'm not really sure *twiddles thumbs). The other pair of pants which I own in that many colours is the Lucky Strike and they are really comfy and easy to pair with too. Gotta love Aforarcade's take on pants!

But of course, I love the Stans just that teeny bit more because it's slim cut and really flattering on the body. Plus, you can dress it up by both tucking in your top or out, and you'll still look equally chic and put together.

Kept things simple with a black and white striped shirt scored in BKK for only $8, a roomy roll-up brown clutch and some mules.

Personally, I love neutral shades such as brown, beige and khaki. It's easy to use these neutral shades and they are really flexible as they go well with a wide range of colours. They are also easy on the eyes without being too harsh as well.

I also tend to get drawn to colours such as mustard, burnt orange and olive. More than pinks and reds actually. Blue's an ultimate fave, especially navy or light blue. And of course, white's a staple - when in doubt, go for white (:

Denim on Denim.

It's March...already?! Crazy how fast 2017 has been passing! I feel like I'm just trying to stay afloat the entire time through 2017, but thankful that I've made it well so far heh. Just came back from a short Bangkok trip cause Tzu had to make his wedding suits (:

Tried out a denim x denim outfit 2 weeks back, and there's lots of different ways to pair denim with denim - you can choose to go with different washes of denim or designs, you can also choose to stick with the same/similar wash of denim for your top and bottom too.

Scored the cutest pair of boyfriend jeans in my wardrobe which comes with heart cutouts from Soeurs.co and paired it with a sleeveless denim top from The Tinsel Rack.

What I love about denim on denim outfits is that you can make the style either really casual/street with accessories such as caps, sneakers and backpacks, or you can also go for a more polished look by pairing it with a fancy pair of earrings and heels. Either way, it'll look awesome!

Tzu thinks my jeans are a little too weird for him but, I love them? It goes right next to my tassel jeans for sure haha.

Loose lines.

I love the weekends! Friday night to Sunday afternoon's the best - because Sunday night means that Monday's approaching. Can we have 2 day work weeks and a 5-day weekend, pretty please?

Here's featuring an outfit which I love for its comfort level - one of my fave pair of culottes which I've worn countless of times, a loose fitted white top and the most comfy sandals ever. And of course, lastly, my trusty bucket bag. Photos were captured by Tzu, while we were over at Sentosa, two weekends back. The last time we were in Sentosa together was really, really long ago. The weather was crazy hot but we had fun thinking of math activities for my students to try out heh.

Knit and Pleats.

I often wish that Singapore would have 4 seasons so we could dress up for fall. I love fall fashion the most - the jackets, layering and boots all come out play heh. Tzu and I have discussed to head to Korea this September, and I'm super excited cause it's gonna be close to fall and I can't wait to see the fall foliage and go hiking in that weather!

This outfit was put together for Uniqlo and somewhat inspired by fall outfits - I picked out a moss green knit vest and a classic grey pleat midi skirt to pair it with. I'm definitely guilty of hogging pleat skirts for sure; I think I own about 5-6 of them in different colours!

Completed my outfit with my trusty pair of booties from Clarks, which are crazy comfortable - they don't give blisters at all and the workmanship is just superb on this pair of shoes. And lastly, also featuring a cute bag from @Tallulah.Bag on Instagram which is a store based in Bangkok. They carry really cute designs and the one I have is actually called the Riley (:

Vast fields.

There's just something about nature that's alluring, calm and beautiful.

Stumbled upon this patch of fields and trees near my sister's place and Tzu took a series of photos just before the sun set last Saturday.

Tzu was just mentioning how rare it was to find plain fields like these without the high rise buildings in Singapore nowadays, and I agreed. Sometimes, less is more indeed. Been more reflective lately about the choices I make, and plus, the sunset looked really gorgeous that evening too.

I'm dressed in The Closet Lover's Zendall pants and Georgina top - the pants are made of an extremely soft material which makes it really comfortable to wear and the top is a basic that every girl should have; it'll probably go with every and any bottom you own in the wardrobe!

I also tried out IDS's Diamond Dust Perfector that day for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it kept my skin looking matte from late afternoon and all through the night. Personally, I don't really use foundation on a daily basis, so I'll be keeping this product for special occasions which I want to up my makeup game? Haha. But it's definitely a good product to use for girls who prefer the matte look as it doesn't feel grimy or oily even after a day's use.

For girls who are interested to get it, you can email in to sales@jyskskinsolutions.com and quote my name to get $5 for every 2 bottles of DD purchased (this includes free delivery too!) (:

Australia 2015: Tasmania - Airport attire.

These photos were taken right after we checked into our Airbnb over at Lenah Valley, Hobart with rows of houses lined up along the area and a lovely view of mountain tops in the background.

For flights, I usually pick an outfit that's comfortable - especially if it's gonna be a really long plane ride! Jeans, culottes or 3/4 pants would usually be my first choice, coupled with a loose fitting top which allows me to take a nap on the plane in comfort. If you prefer something more girly, I think a casual dress would be cosy as well! I usually do without make up on a flight as well - just some lip balm to prevent cracked lips (:

Top: AforArcade's Homies Baseball Top
Jeans: (worn-to-death) Ellysage
Sneakers: Superga
Bag: Lacoste

Tulles and embroidery.

My outfit for SGFW and well, what can I say? My love for tulle skirts is still going strong; I love them all - be it short, midi or maxi length. There's just something about tulle skirts that makes a girl feel like a princess. Paired it with an intricate embroidered crop top in black with my favourite pair of pearl earrings and some simple rings. Hair's done up by Cat - my stylist from Black Hair Salon who has never failed to bring out the best in my otherwise unruly hair! Truly thankful for her talented touch and this up-do was completed by her in a quick 45 minute time frame - I'm always gonna be amazed at how fast she works!

Orchard Central: In Full Bloom ✾ (sp)

Last Monday, I had the chance to head down to Orchard Central together with Tzu for a visit around some of the fashion stores available at the OC! (: Being right next to Somerset MRT, it's been one of the malls I frequent around when I'm around town.

There's a wide range of fashion choices available at Orchard Central and you may not know this but they actually carry quite a few homegrown fashion labels such as the Reckless Shop, Sans and Sans and SABRINAGOH.

Sans and Sans (#02-04/05)
My first stop was Sans and Sans, a lovely rustic looking shop with a wooden interior and tons of clothes, accessories and jewellery. Their items carry a modern take on orient designs; perfect for the working crowd.

Random shot captured by Tzu while I was browsing hehe

I fell in love with this blue blouse and decided to try it on with my pastel pink pants.

I went for another look next: a pair of slim fit khaki pants and a loose fit grey and white collared blouse. So much love for the tailored pieces here!

Pleatation (#02-K6)
As the name of the store suggests, this store is all about pleats and more pleats, and yes I would love some pleats please!  Pleatation takes pleats to another level by using pleats in not just their breathtakingly beautiful dresses but also to daily items such as laptop covers, notebooks, bags and even cushion covers!

I love this laptop cover!

Wide range of prints for their crazy beautiful dresses - a perfect match for that beach getaway you've been dreaming about

I tried on one of their dresses and oh it was so tempting really. Their dresses can be tied in various ways to achieve different looks and I tried on a grey ombre piece.

And yes, the dress is so twirl-y!

Up-close details of the pleats

The Reckless Shop (#02-08/09)
We also stopped off at The Reckless Shop which makes use of edgy silhouettes and colours to achieve quirky and unique looks. I loved the shop space - it was open, fun and the racks were filled with vibrant cuts and designs.

My pick from their new collection: a black stripes mesh piece paired with a white tank dress under. I imagine this piece with some white sneakers, a casual backpack and some shades to hit the streets on a weekend.

Dr. Martens (#03-05)
My last stop was over at Dr. Martens. Boots - of all shades, designs, patterns - definitely a shoe lover's heaven. Aside from the boots, I found myself drawn to their leather bags as well!

The newest designs are placed right at the front of the store

Those satchels!

And, yes I have a weakness for high cut boots. If only Singapore had 4 seasons... I once wanted to buy the printed ones but boyfriend said I siao hahaha ):

Ended off my night at The Design Supermarket by Naiise - which is held at level one of Orchard Central (till 19th May). You wouldn't want to miss it because it's filled with so much adorable, quirky, fun and funny items all together!

"Eat me!" says the cupcake

And erm, this cookie butter by Speculoos is THE BOMB. Crazy delicious, no kidding.

My flatlay photo of OC purchases (:

Well, and the best news is that, OC is holding an Instagram competition where you can stand to win $200 worth of Far East Organization Mall vouchers!
All you have to do is to post a creative photo of your fashion purchases at OC or an OOTD at OC and hashtag #OCfashion (: There'll be a total of 5 winners picked and it could be you - so start snapping away! (Contest ends on 23 May 2015, 2359)

Stay in touch with Orchard Central and their events at @Orchardcentral on Instagram and hop on over to their website to have a closer look at all of the stores they have over at OC.

Have a lovely week ahead everybody!
